Our clients are private or on the Direct Payment system. This system is a payment made to a person from social services in order to purchase care. This allows the person more flexibility and control in their choice of care provider. The person then pays this money to the care company for their services.
For example, John is disabled and needs some help at home. He undergoes a community care assessment and it is determined that he needs the help of a care worker for 14 hours a week. His local authority could either arrange to send their choice of care company, or give John direct payments so he can employ a care company of his choice.
Clients who receive help paying for their care will need to change to Direct Payments so we can provide your care. This is a simple process and your social worker can help you with it.
